Today, I'm going to talk about my job.
I worked twice today, so you could say that's all I did today. Not completely true but pretty close. I'll get back to my other antics later on. But I've talked about my job before and I thought It'd be beneficial that we talk
Tuesdays are always the worst day of the week because it's the earliest I have to get up all week, including Sundays. I'm usually up at 7 which is never fun for me, because anyone that knows me knows that I don't function any time before 8.
The reason I get up that early is because I work on the BYU Devotionals every Tuesday. If you didn't know, I work for BYUtv as a cameraman/production assistant. Tuesday is the only day in the week that I work both jobs. I'm a cameraman at the devotionals and it's actually a really fun job. The only reason I have to dislike it is my shoes. When we go to devotionals, we're required to wear Sunday best. For some reason, my shoes have these dumb gel insoles in the heels that don't do a thing. Honestly, they make my feet hurt worse! So I'm fighting sore feet for about 5 hours every week.
My other job is a production assistant, which I did in the afternoon today. My boss is one of the producer/directors there and I just do the work he doesn't have time to do, or doesn't want to do. He got pretty mad today because of someone else's mistake. We were checking a DVD for errors and the edge of the shot is cut off on the screen, so it doesn't fit the screen like it's supposed to. We had made 100 copies of these DVDs without anyone catching the error, this is a major setback. So, being the PA, I got the heat for it; mostly because I was there.
Once the year is over, I'm officially released from the job since I can't work there unless I'm in school. I love this job so much and I'm really dreading not working here anymore. So, I'm on the hunt for a full time job to keep money coming in before my mission. Can't hardly wait...
Other than that, I had a delicious "food about to expire" meal today with Jenny and Mackenzie. I didn't really expect much from it but it ended up being really really good! We had a frozen stir fry my mom gave me a while back and 99 cent stuffing from the Creamery. It doesn't sound like much but it was a spectacular meal! We then finally made the Nutella Hot Chocolate we've been trying to make for 2 weeks. Try it. It will change your life.
